What is "HD ready"?

Older DLP, PDP and LCD TVs are classified as High Definition Television (HDTV) monitors. This means that they require a separate HDTV tuner or receiver to display HDTV-quality programming.

Current AHANIX LCD TVs are classified as HDTV televisions. This means they have built in digital tuners (as well built in analog tuners) and can display both regular and HDTV programs with no need for a separate tuner or set-top-box.
